Me, taking a break during a writing retreat in beautiful Potton, QC.

About

I’m a writer, gardener, maker, and nature nerd.

My children’s urban nature tale series All Kinds of Neighbours was supported by a grant from Canada Council for the Arts and CBC RadioCanada. My work has appeared in Kitchen Table Magazine, Farmerish, The Athens Free Press, The New Georgia Encyclopedia, and Mi Craft Beer Culture Magazine. My children’s picture book text Melt was shortlisted for the 2022 CANSCAIP Writing for Children Competition.

I earned an MA in literature from the University of Georgia and taught college writing in the US before moving to Canada in 2008.

Over the past couple of decades, I’ve worked as a content writer, editor, and consultant for many clients including Plum Organics, Les Editions CEC, Convent and Stuart Hall, Roof AI, The Montreal Art Centre, Griffintown Art School, The Pointe St. Charles Art School, Mi Craft Beer Culture Magazine, and Helping Seniors. I’ve also edited books, PhD dissertations, and master’s theses.
